Dr. Cynthia Payne

Dr. Payne provides routine eye exams and is skilled at diagnosing many ocular diseases including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertensive retinopathy. She routinely treats diseases of the anterior segment, which includes dry eyes, allergies, and various forms of infections or “red eye”. She prescribes eyeglasses for all vision needs such as computer lenses, sports eyeglasses, and progressive lenses. Dr. Payne’s prior optometric experience and training enables her to fit and recommend all specialty designs of contact lenses from RGP (rigid gas permeable), toric lenses (for astigmatism), multifocal contact lenses or monovision options for presbyopes, or contact lenses for “hard-to-fit” people with irregular post-surgical corneas or corneal disease such as kerataconus. She also provides pre- and post-operative eyecare for patients who seek laser eye surgery with Lasik of Nevada as a contracted optometrist at their Las Vegas, Summerlin, and Reno locations .

Dr. Payne is a certified optometrist by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for the treatment and management of ocular disease. She is a State Licensed Optometrist by the Board of Optometry for the practice of Optometry in both Tennessee and Nevada. She is a 2014 member of Distinguished Women in Nevada and a Consumers’ Research Council of America awarded member of America’s Top Optometrists.

When Dr. Payne is not working as an optometrist at the Summerlin, Las Vegas Trendsetter Eyewear office, she enjoys her downtime traveling, visiting her family, or reading a great book. When asked what she likes most about living in Las Vegas, her reply is the fabulous weather and the fact that there are very few bugs in Las Vegas.

Grady “Chip” Williams

Is the Optical Manager for Trendsetter Eyewear. Chip is originally from southern Louisiana and began his training in the optical business by working for his father who is an optometrist. Chip brings 38+ years of optical experience to the Summerlin, Las Vegas Trendsetter Eyewear optical to help patients with choosing the best frame for their face and making sure the eyeglasses are in proper adjustment. If a frame or style you want is not in our inventory, Chip can assist you with an appointment for private shopping with our frame reps. He is also skilled in the process of making a pair of eyeglasses and doing eyewear repair.

Chip’s favorite thing about working in Trendsetter Eyewear optical is the opportunity to get to know and talk with people from the Summerlin, Las Vegas community. He enjoys talking (and eating!) Cajun food, biking the trails around Red Rock in Summerlin, and riding dirt bikes in the mountains and desert surrounding Las Vegas.
